You found a folded crane, but why?
An old Japanese myth tells us that the gods will grant a wish to the one who folded the 1000 cranes.

What can you do with 1000 folded cranes when they are finished?
Burn it, keep them in a box, chuck away....or share them with other people and make them happy.
